Supporting Legal Framework

Licensed Medical Practice

All medical consultations and certificates are provided by Dr. Viktor Simunović M.D., a licensed General Practitioner registered with the Croatian Medical Chamber (License #49440, HLK #HR236570). As an EU-licensed physician, he is authorized to provide cross-border healthcare services under EU regulations.

Cross-Border Healthcare Authorization

Under EU Directive 2011/24/EU on cross-border healthcare, EU citizens have the right to receive healthcare services from licensed practitioners in other EU member states. This directive specifically enables telemedicine consultations and medical certifications across borders.

Data Protection Compliance

We maintain strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) EU 2016/679. All patient health information is encrypted, securely processed, and stored according to EU data protection standards. We have established comprehensive data processing agreements with all service providers.

Medical Certificate Verification

Each digital sick note includes comprehensive verification elements including unique reference numbers and QR codes that allow instant authentication through our website’s verification system. All certificates are secured with Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) technology under the eIDAS framework, ensuring the highest level of document security and authenticity recognized across the EU.

Important Note About Acceptance

While our service operates within the EU legal framework, individual employers or institutions may have their own policies regarding digital medical certificates. We recommend checking with your employer about their digital document acceptance policies if you have concerns. Our support team can provide additional documentation if needed.
