Which imaging centres accept Sicknote referrals?
Our imaging referrals are accepted by all major private imaging centres in the UK, including Nuffield Health, Spire Healthcare, BMI Healthcare, Bupa Cromwell, HCA Healthcare and Alliance Medical.
Do I need to have seen a GP first?
No. You do not need a previous GP consultation to use our service. Our doctor assesses your case directly from the information you provide in the questionnaire.
How long does it take?
Most referrals are reviewed and issued within 2–4 hours during business hours (Mon–Fri 9am–6pm). If ordered outside these hours, it will be ready the following morning.
Can I choose which imaging centre?
Yes. If you have a preferred clinic such as Affidea or Blackrock include it in the form and the referral will be addressed to them. Otherwise the referral is open and accepted by any imaging centre.
Will my health insurer accept this?
Yes. UK health insurers AXA PPP, Bupa and Aviva accept referral letters from any GMC registered doctor. Our letters include all required details for insurance claims.
What if my referral is declined?
If our doctor determines a referral isn’t clinically appropriate for your situation, we’ll explain why and issue a full refund. Your health and safety come first.
